Student teachers are given opportunity to practice yoga fortnightly in the multipurpose hall.

Objectives:

  • To enable the student to have good health
  • To practice mental hygiene
  • To possess emotional stability
  • To integrate moral values
  • To attain higher level of consciousness

Plan of Action:
In the beginning of the year, the college invited yoga experts; Mr. Sadashiv Kashinath Kunde and Mr. Farheed to teach basic yoga asana. They also find out if there are any personal health problems of the students. So accordingly they suggested dos and donts to each student. Since our student teachers are mostly female, lot of the asanas revolved around to ease them during menstrual cycle and other female related hormone dysfunction.

Outcome:
Practicing yoga in a group always encourages even those have a late back attitude. So it helps each one to practice so that gradually it becomes a healthy habit. The art of practicing yoga helps in controlling an individual’s mind, body and soul. It brings together physical and mental disciplines to achieve a peaceful body and mind; it helps manage stress and anxiety and keeps you relaxing. It also helps in increasing flexibility, muscle strength and body tone.
