The programme started with Ms. Ankita Singh of S.Y. B.Ed. welcoming the Guest of Honour, Mr Yadav, our Principal Dr. Reni Francis, all the teachers and the students. She spoke at length about the dignity of labour, a value that was very close to the Mahatma’s heart. She then called upon our Principal to felicitate Mr. Yadav.

Thereafter, Ms. Shaheen Mallik of S.Y. B.Ed. introduced Mr. Yadav to the gathering. She emphasised the fact that though we see him every day, yet we know very little about him personally.

Mr. Yadav was born in Mumbai but his family belongs to Pratapgagh in Uttar Pradesh. His family stay in UP and he is a father of three. His daughter is working as a teacher and his elder son is pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. His younger son is still in school.

Mr. Yadav is a very hardworking man whose sincerity towards his job has always been appreciated by all. Ms. Shaheen reminded the audience as to how Mr. Yadav never allowed any of them to enter the premises without their ID cards and how they are now attuned to always wearing their ID before entering the premises.

Mr. Yadav also spoke to the gathering. He emphasised the importance of education, the respect that should always be shown towards teachers and explained the importance of wearing ID cards.

The session was very interactive and benefited the students. It ended with vote of thanks to the resource person.
