On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, a special assembly was conducted on 30th August at Pillai College of Education and Research, Chembur. The assembly started with a prayer to invoke the blessings of Lord Ganesha, followed by a thought for the day. A melodious song was sung praising the existence of Lord Ganesha followed by a skit which depicted the story of “Ganesha and the Mango”. A video was shown which explained the significance of the festival and emphasized on eco-friendly ways of celebrating the festival.
