As part of the NEP 2020 series, PCER Chembur organized an expert talk on ‘NEP 2020- Foundational Literacy and Numeracy’. Drawing from her work as the Academic Head of Early Years and Primary at Crimson Group of Schools, Naseem Dohadwala was able to clearly articulate the NEP 2020 vision for foundational literacy and numeracy as compared to the current status of the same. She compared the current scenario with the way forward as highlighted by the policy. She reiterated that the policy has emphasized re-establishing teachers, at all levels, as the most respected and essential members of our society, as they shape the future generation of the country.
