On 8th January 2025, PCER (Autonomous), Chembur conducted an orientation session on the Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension (DLLE), A University of Mumbai initiative. The session was led by DLLE Professor In-charge, Dr. Vithoba Sawant. He began by introducing DLLE and its objectives, explaining the organizational structure from the University to the student managers. Dr. Sawant highlighted the college’s selected project Population Education Club (PEC) and discussed various relevant issues including women’s rights, legal awareness, e-waste, HIV/AIDS, and more. He explained suitable activities such as rallies, debates, and street plays, along with record-keeping formats. The annual UDAAN festival and its competitions were also detailed. He concluded by emphasizing the academic benefit 10 bonus marks upon successful DLLE task completion motivating students to participate actively.
