On 10th December, 2021 Pillai College of Education and Research, Chembur in collaboration with Soroptomist International Bombay Chembur organised a skit on the occasion of World Human Rights Day, for the students of standard 9th of MES’s Chembur English High School. B.Ed. students from English method participated in the street play depicting various rights for children laid down in Indian constitution. After each scene questions were asked to the school students to help them understand different rights for children which were depicted through the skit. Various issues like child marriage and child labour were shown through the play. Dr. K. M. Vasudevan Pillai sir, who spoke about Human Rights. Sir interacted with the school students and the student teachers. Sir enlightened the students with his inspirational speech on Human Rights Day conveying the message that the youth should be made aware of the human rights and the effects of violation of rights for children.
