Revisiting Our Socio-Cultural Values

Values are important in life as they help us to grow and develop. They govern our thoughts, words, actions and enable us to take right decisions. People with values have always brought cheer to the lives of others.

Valeur 2019- The intercollegiate festival provided an interactive platform on revisiting our socio-cultural values and making it a part of our lives. On this occasion PCER hosted a variety of events like Mind events – The late Principal Mathews Chacko Memorial Extempore competition’ and Essay Competition, Fine Arts events – Rangoli, Mehendi, Mask Making, Hairstyling, Best Out of Waste and Nail Art events and Cultural events- Street Play competition and Ad Mad Show on the theme ‘Revisiting Our Socio-Cultural Values’. The events provided an opportunity to students to showcase their talents and contribute to enrich their lives with values.

The inaugural function started at 10.30 a.m.by lighting of the lamp to invoke and seek blessings of the Almighty by the Chief Guest Dr. K. M. Vasudevan Pillai, Chairman and CEO, Mahatma Education Society, Guest of Honour – Mr. G. T. Ochani Deputy CEO (Chembur campus) Mahatma Education Society, Dr. Sunita Wadikar, Principal, Pillai College of Education & Research, Chembur along with other dignitaries. Welcome address was given by Dr. Sunita Wadikar, Principal, PCER, Chembur. Dr. Mary Devakumar was the co-ordinator who briefed the august gathering about the program. The Organising committee included the Teacher-educators, Student Council and B.Ed student-teachers of Pillai College of Education & Research, Chembur.

It was an Annual Intercollegiate event hosted by Pillai College of Education and Research, Chembur. It was held on 9th February, 2019 at Chembur Campus. It consisted of 10 competitions. There were nearly 150 participants who registered for various competitions like Mind events, Fine Arts events and Cultural events.

  • Ms. Jayshree Goraksha, Director, Computer Department, Chembur English High School

Principal Dr. Sunita Wadikar Ma’am appreciated the efforts of the Teacher educators, Student Council, Student Teachers and congratulated all the winners.
