Special Assembly : Human Rights Day & Energy Conservation Day

PCER > Celebrations > Special Assembly : Human Rights Day & Energy Conservation Day

“There is a true joy in using our rights to create a world for living in harmony with one another and with nature.”

On this thoughtful note the S.Y B.Ed students of MES’s Pillai College of Education and Research, Chembur organized a special assembly to celebrate two important days; Human Rights Day and Energy Conservation Day. The Principal of PCER along with the teaching and non-teaching faculty attended the assembly. The assembly began with a prayer followed by the Thought for the Day. Miss Edna wonderfully depicted various aspects of each day through a speech after which Miss Sara highlighted the Sustainable Development Goals. A model representation was given by Miss Shruti Hajare about the reasons for energy depletion and the approaches one can take to conserve energy, to create better-living conditions for the present generation as well as the future. Each student then displayed a placard with Human Right and spoke a few words on it; Right to Freedom, Right to Equality, Right to Dignity, and so on. Principal Dr. Reni Francis addressed the students. The assembly came to an end with a vote of thanks delivered by Miss Priya Joshi.
