MES’s Pillai College of Education and Research, (Autonomous), Chembur, in collaboration with the Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension (DLLE), participated in the “Orange the World” Awareness Programme on Violence Against Women organized by the International Inner Wheel Club–Tiara on 29th November, 2025. The programme aimed to raise awareness about increasing violence against women and encourage young women to speak up against injustice.
B.Ed. students of PCER students, along with faculty members, attended the session. Dr. Seema Matreja (President) and Dr. Sushma Wazi (Secretary) introduced the club’s mission. The keynote speaker, Police Inspector Ms. Seema Babar, delivered an empowering talk on cybercrime, domestic violence, and abuse, highlighting early warning signs and the importance of reporting incidents. The interactive session and sharing of helpline numbers made the programme impactful and meaningful.
