MES’s Pillai College of Education and Research (PCER) Chembur in association with The National Community Engagement Academic Network (NCEAN) Wundavalli Foundation celebrated National Youth Day on 12th January, 2024, with the elders of Shantivan Old Age Home, Nere-Panvel. The visit was organized to sensitize today’s youth about the ‘Ageless Bonds and Nurturing the Wellness of Society by Caring for the Aged’.
The students of PCER Chembur planned a morning of fun activities at Shantivan, home to 43 elders. The students recited poetry and sang some melodious yesteryear music that made the elders nostalgic. They then led them through some fun group games. The Shantivan inmates were provided with the gifts and prizes at the end of the fun group games. The day was heartwarming and memorable for PCER Chembur teachers, students, and elders of Shantivan, Panvel.
