PCER students are encouraged to carry out the extension activities wholeheartedly every year. As a part of APY project, the FY B.Ed. students organized food mela on 13th March, 2020. This activity is conducted with the objective of developing organizing skills and the basic selling skills among students.

The students were provided with the space for stalls and basic furniture to put-up the food stalls. The students spread the message through display on notice board, what app groups and word of mouth. The food items included were Chinese bhel, sandwiches, Cup-cakes, lemon juice, chaas etc.

The students of Chembur English School, Mahatma Junior college, D.Ed, Marathi Madhyamik shala and teaching and non-teaching staff from Chembur campus were the potential customers of the food mela.

The PCER students conducted the food mela successfully and generated decent profit out of it also. Moreover, Food mela introduced a good networking among students and gave them opportunity to learn finance and business economics practically.
