On the occasion of World Student Day on 19th October, 2023, a session was conducted to honour the former President and Missile Man of India Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam. The topic for the session was Youth Leadership and Sustainable Development. Ms. Bhakti Sawant, PCER Chembur Alumni, Batch 2020-22 was the resource person. The session was constructive for student teachers in several ways, as it equipped them with knowledge and tools to integrate sustainability principles into their teaching practices. It created an awareness of key concepts related to sustainable development and provide insights into global challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and social inequality. The session oriented the student teachers regarding the pivotal role they can play in shaping environmentally and socially responsible citizens, fostering critical thinking, and preparing students for a sustainable future.
