MES’s Pillai College of Education and Research (Autonomous), Chembur, in collaboration with the Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension (DLLE), celebrated Harvest Day on 17th January, 2026 in the multipurpose hall. The programme reflected the spirit of “Unity in Diversity” by showcasing five major harvest festivals of India—Magh Bihu, Pongal, Makar Sankranti, Uttarayan, and Lohri.
The celebration began with a special assembly highlighting SDG 2 Zero Hunger and SDG 12 Responsible Consumption and Production, emphasizing gratitude towards farmers and responsible food habits. Cultural performances, including traditional dances and engaging group activities, added vibrancy to the event.
The Principal’s address beautifully connected harvest festivals with academic growth and values. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, making the celebration enriching, joyful, and meaningful.
