MES’s Pillai College of Education and Research (Autonomous), Chembur, in collaboration with the Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension (DLLE), organized a special assembly on 15th December, 2025 to observe National Energy Conservation Day. The programme aimed to create awareness about energy conservation and responsible resource use among students and staff.
A symbolic activity was conducted from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., during which all lights and fans were switched off, highlighting the impact of small conservation efforts. The assembly included a prayer, thought of the day, news reading, presentation on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), mindfulness activity, and a brief talk on the significance of the day.
The programme emphasized reducing electricity wastage and adopting eco-friendly habits. Overall, the observance was informative and inspiring, motivating students to practice responsible energy usage for a sustainable future.
