MES’s Pillai College of Education and Research (Autonomous), Chembur, in collaboration with the Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension (DLLE), organized a street play on 9th January 2026 at Chembur Naka Signal to create awareness about the importance of voting in view of the upcoming Municipal Corporation Elections scheduled on 15th January 2026.
The street play aimed to sensitize the general public about their civic duty and the significance of responsible and informed voting. The students delivered impactful performances supported by creative banners and posters, effectively communicating key messages related to voter awareness, democratic participation, and the power of every vote.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation and positive responses from the public, who appreciated the efforts of the students. The activity successfully created awareness among citizens and reinforced the values of democracy and civic responsibility.
Overall, the street play proved to be a meaningful and effective initiative in promoting voter awareness and encouraging active participation in the democratic process.
