PCER > Co-curricular Activities > Street Play Competition 2019-20

On the 13th March, 2020 the students of F.Y. B.Ed. presented a Street-play competition which was organized by PCER Chembur in collaboration with Soroptimist Welfare Association, a part of the International NGO for women, Soroptimist International.

The Chief Guest for the event was Ms. Suprada Phaterpekar, the ex- Municipal Corporator of Chembur and a Shiv Sena leader. The competition was judged by Soroptimists Ms. Parveen Arif and Ms. Preeti Pawar. The play was watched by the students of B.Ed. as well as the D.Ed.

Traditionally, the street plays are performed on the streets but this year, as a precautionary move for COVID-19, the play was held indoors in the form of a competition. The plays focused on issues of domestic violence, effects of tobacco and alcohol abuse and gender-equality. The students presented three plays on the topic of Domestic Violence, Gender Equality and Fight against Tobacco and Alcohol. It was a great learning experience for all.
