Online National Level Competitions Organised by MES’s Pillai College of Education and Research, Chembur in collaboration with RR Educational Trust’s B.Ed. College, Mulund on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2024

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, MES’s Pillai College of Education and Research, Chembur, in collaboration with R. R. Educational Trust’s B.Ed. College, Mulund, organized a National Level Online Poster Making, Essay Writing, and Poetry Competition. The themes for the competitions were Women Empowerment and Women: A Change Maker. These competitions aimed to empower and celebrate the achievements of women and also provided a platform for B.Ed. students to showcase their creativity and talent.

In the Poster Making Competition, participants showcased their creativity and artistic skills through visually captivating posters. Students from various B.Ed. colleges participated and submitted their entries for this category.

The winners of the Poster Competition were as follows:

  • First Prize: Ms. Chelsi Peter Dias – Pushpanjali College of Education, Vasai
  • Second Prize: Ms. Chhaya Yadav – R. R. Educational Trust’s B.Ed. College
  • Third Prize: Ms. Maria Raichel Chettiar – Nirmala Memorial Foundation College of Education

In the Essay Writing Competition, participants wrote insightful essays exploring various aspects of women’s rights, challenges faced by women, and the importance of gender equality in today’s society. The essays highlighted the need for continued efforts to achieve gender parity and empower women across all spheres of life. The essays submitted by B.Ed students were in English and Hindi.

The winners of the Essay Competition in English were:

  • First Prize: Ms. Naik Gauravi Ramdas – MIT School of Education and Research, Loni Kalbhor, Pune
  • Second Prize: Ms. Komal Shete – Ramanand Aarya DAV College
  • Third Prize: Ms. Misbah Mohammed Yunus Shaikh – RES’s Rizvi College of Education

The winners of the Essay Competition in Hindi were:

  • First Prize: Ms. Mamata Mahesh Kokaje – Pillai College of Education and Research, Chembur
  • Second Prize: Ms. Vishwakarma Manjeet – Smt Kapila Khandwala College of Education
  • Third Prize: Ms. Halvai Nilam Rajendra – Shree Sarvodaya Sikshan Mandal, Gujarat

In the Poetry Competition, participants expressed their emotions, thoughts, and experiences through poems. The competition provided a platform for participants to channel their creativity and advocate for gender equality and women’s empowerment through poetry written in English and Hindi.

The winners of the Poetry Competition in English were:

  • First Prize: Ms. Sara Merlin Sam – Tilak Education Society’s Sarada Kurup College of Education and Research
  • Second Prize: Ms. Mallika Mahajan – Nirmala Memorial Foundation College of Education
  • Third Prize: Ms. Sumitra VijayKumar Nishad – GuruKrupa College of Education and Research

The winners of the Poetry Competition in Hindi were:

  • First Prize: Ms. Saba Khan – K.J. Somaiya College of Education
  • Second Prize: Ms. Krupali Manohar Pawar – Tilak Education Society’s Sarada Kurup College of Education and Research
  • Third Prize: Ms. Jaiswar Diviya Deepchand – R. R. Educational Trust’s B.Ed. College
