Ganesh Chaturthi

The festival of Ganesh Chathurthi was celebrated with great fervor by the students of S.Y. B.Ed. of PCER on the 9th September, 2019. The programme was marked by speech, bhajans, skit and a meaningful message by the students of Dr. Swasti Dhar tutorial. A video on the historical perspective of Ganesh Chathurti was shown to sensitize the student teachers. The programme was very well appreciated by the Principal, faculty and students of the college.

Teacher’s Day Celebration

‘Teachers are the ones that lead us to knowledge and light’

The most awaited occasion of the B.Ed. students is the Teachers day wherein they express their respect and gratitude to their teachers and pledge to be good teachers take up this role in the coming year. The Student Council members presented a wonderful programme where in the role of the teacher in today’s context was highlighted. Poems, Shayaris, and beautiful video presentation on the life of a teacher, highlighted the need and importance of teacher in everyone’s life. The different types of teachers and whom do we choose to be was presented in a lightier vein. The students presented bookmarks as a token of their love and appreciation to the teachers.

Mohurram

The festival of Muharram is observed by the Muslims in remembrance of the sacrifice of Imam Hussain. The students highlighted how the day is observed by Shias and Sunni Muslims. The students of Dr. Reni Francis presented a wonderful programme bringing out the significance of the day. The beauty of the programme was that the non muslim students presented the programme in a beautiful meaningful way.

Onam Celebration

Onam the festival of the Malayalis was celebrated by the students of Ms. Jaya Cherian tutorial. The students decorated the classroom with torans and flower kolams to celebrate Onam. The significance of this day was presented through a story of King Mahabali. The programme was conducted very beautifully and systematically by the students.

The Principal and faculty appreciated the participation and performance of the students.
