PCER Chembur a part of DLLE (Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension) project started by Mumbai University. DLLE established on 12 October, 1978 and has been recognized as a Statutory Department of the University of Mumbai since 1994 to promote a meaningful and sustained rapport between the Universities and the community. Its mission is to maintain the voice of helping professional focused on serving college and university students in a mental health setting. The working motto of DLLE is, ‘Reach to the Unreached’, to facilitate the sensitization of the student to the socio-cultural realities, the Department offers for the students, extension work projects encompassing social issues. The student is awarded Ten Additional Marks at the final exam for a project on completion of 120 hours of work and the submission of a project report, which are undertaken by degree college students.

The second year students have taken up Annapurna Yojana (APY) project. This activity has been designed to encourage the student to try their hand at entering the field of small scale business. Hence this activity is designed to make students understand the concept of small scale business and increase self-reliance approach.
