The Environmental Club of Pillai College of Education and Research, Chembur collaborated with the Mangrove Marshalls on their 39th weekend Clean Up drive on the 23rd November, 2019. F.Y.B.Ed. students helped the Mangrove Marshalls to clean the mini beach of Vashi and the mangroves. The Clean Up drive began at 7.15 a.m. and wound up at 9 a.m. . Nearly five truckloads of plastic and non – biodegradable wastes were cleaned from the assigned areas. The Clean Up activity had a twofold purpose – one to clean up the areas around the mangroves and beaches, secondly to generate awareness among the student community of the harm done to the environment and how each of us should behave responsibly. The environment club is thankful to the Management and the Principal for their support and is proud of the students who lent a helping hand and strengthened this Clean Up initiative.
